What you’ll be doing
As Lead Engineer E&I (Electrical Engineering & Instrumentation), you will play a key role in the design, implementation and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems for sampling and analysing equipment within the organisation. You will have technical responsibility for the execution of projects and for coordinating all activities relating to electrical engineering and instrumentation. As Lead Engineer, you will manage a small team of several engineers from various disciplines and work together with the manager engineering and director. You will work on genuinely exciting technology made inhouse from small pipeline units to sample the quality of LNG to complete containerised pilot plants for analysing hydrogen.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing technical leadership and coordinating projects, including assigning tasks to support engineers.
• Developing and designing electrical and instrumentation systems in accordance with client specifications and applicable standards and regulations (Basic Engineering)
• Drawing up technical specifications, drawings and documentation for E&I systems.
• Carrying out technical calculations and analyses to ensure the performance and safety of systems.
• Coordinating collaboration between E&I engineers and other disciplines within the organisation, such as mechanical engineering and process engineering.
• Ensuring effective communication with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project.
• Monitoring progress, quality and costs within a project, in close collaboration with the project manager, and making adjustments where necessary.
• Supporting the procurement and implementation phases of projects by providing technical expertise and resolving any issues that may arise.
What you bring to the role
- A completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation or a comparable field
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar E&I engineering role such as electrical, chemical or Oil & Gas
- Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, including relevant standards and regulations
- Strong communication skills, analytical ability and a structured approach to work
- Fluency in English, Dutch is not required but preferred
- Residency and the right to work in the Netherlands is required
